The Louisville Dermatology Institute is owned and operated by Dr. William F. Smith, M.D., who is also President and CEO of West Kentucky Dermatology, where he built a strong reputation for compassion, integrity, and the extraordinary care he has provided to patients for almost two decades.

Dr. Smith is a board-certified dermatologist and an honor graduate of Murray State University, with undergraduate degrees in engineering physics and math, and an honor graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His primary interests are medical and surgical dermatology, with an emphasis on the treatment of all types of skin cancer.

He and his wife Stacey recently moved to Norton Commons, and have children enrolled at the University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, Kentucky Country Day School, and Norton Commons Elementary School. Along with West Kentucky Dermatology in Madisonville, KY, they opened a dermatology practice in Shelbyville in the spring of 2019, followed by a third location in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
